Roofing accidents

Roofing is one of the most dangerous professions in the United States. According to the National Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries, roofers have the third-highest fatal work injury rates. Falls are a leading cause of death or injury in the roofing occupation. Given this recognized hazard, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires employers to assess the structural integrity of walking and working surfaces, as well as provide fall protection when working at heights of six feet or more. Unfortunately, oftentimes employers in the construction industry do not comply with OSHA safety requirements leading to serious or fatal injuries.
